Rod to River in Michigan

It started with an email inquiry...
"My name is Tim. I live in Grand Rapids and grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My dad was the head fisheries biologist for the Hiawatha National Forest for over 35 years and his life's work up there has left me and my sons with trophy trout fishing for the rest of our lives. After losing my dad I really felt like he left me with such an amazing picture of what rhythms and patterns of Saturday fishing trips as father and son could do to protect and enrich that relationship. I really want to be able to pass that on to others. I'm sharing all this with you because I see a massive value in what you are doing at Family Lines. I heard about your ministry and I'd love to connect. I want to learn more and possibly see if this is something I could help create or invest in up here--perhaps add a branch of Family Lines in Michigan."

Email exchanges led to phone conversations, and eventually Tim flew out to receive training in our "Rod to River" program. Just last month Tim's church - Crossroads Bible Church - ordered another round of equipment to launch this years' "Rod to River" for fathers and children in Grand Rapids Michigan.
How about you? Do you feel a strong call like Tim did? Or perhaps your church has a common passion to strengthen father/child relationships. Reach out! It doesn't have to be fishing. What do you have a passion for and how can we help you leverage the "5 ingredients”?
Follow that prompting. A simple email can turn into something much more.
